About the Role
As a Transportation Engineer, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive engineering services for public infrastructure projects at both state and federal levels. This role involves working on a wide range of transportation initiatives, from roadway improvements to traffic operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support transportation engineering tasks for highway, traffic, and multimodal projects.
- Conduct data analysis and prepare detailed technical reports.
- Design roadway layouts, perform corridor safety studies, and develop traffic signal plans.
- Create maintenance and protection of traffic plans to ensure safe work zones.
- Perform traffic impact and operational analyses to optimize flow and reduce congestion.
- Contribute to highway, interchange, and intersection improvement projects.
- Participate in rail design and related transportation infrastructure planning.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local design standards throughout all phases of work.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in highway or traffic engineering.
- Strong understanding of design standards and guidelines, including MUTCD and AASHTO.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with industry-standard software tools such as:
- MicroStation
- AutoCAD
- Highway Capacity Software
- SYNCHRO/SIMTRAFFIC
- CORSIM
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
