About the Role:
A growing structural engineering firm is seeking a Structural Staff Engineer to join its team. The firm delivers innovative, efficient, and code-compliant structural design solutions across residential and commercial projects. This is a fully remote position.

Position Overview:
This role is open to candidates at various experience levels. The successful candidate will support or lead structural engineering projects, provide technical design expertise, and contribute to collaborative project delivery. Senior-level candidates may also lead project teams and manage client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and analyze structural systems for new construction and renovation projects
  • Produce detailed drawings, calculations, and technical documentation
  • Perform structural modeling and design using software such as RISA, Enercalc, Bluebeam
  • Conduct site visits and field inspections as required
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams
  • Ensure all designs adhere to applicable codes and standards (IBC, CBC, AISC, ACI, ASCE 7, etc.)

Senior-Level Responsibilities:

  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams and manage schedules and budgets
  • Oversee QA/QC processes and mentor junior engineers
  • Maintain and develop client relationships
  • Assist in business development and proposal writing

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • EIT certification (entry-level) or PE license (mid/senior-level)
  • Proficiency in structural analysis/design software and drafting tools
  • Familiarity with major building codes and design standards

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Structural Engineering
  • 3-10+ years of structural design experience in a consulting environment
  • Experience with Archicad, AutoCAD, and BIM workflows
  • Strong communication and technical documentation skills
