Survey Lead
Our client, a well-established and family-oriented civil engineering firm in Cedar City, is growing their Survey group and looking for an experienced Survey Lead to guide both field and office staff locally. What You'll Do
- Lead day-to-day operations of the local Survey team, including both field and office staff
- Oversee project planning, scheduling, and quality control for survey deliverables
- Serve as a technical resource and mentor for junior surveyors and field crews
- Coordinate with civil engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure accurate and timely project execution
- Support boundary, topographic, construction staking, and ALTA survey projects
- Implement and uphold company standards for safety, accuracy, and field practices
- Contribute to team growth, training, and long-term development of the local Survey group
What They're Looking For
Ideal Qualifications:
- Utah PLS (Professional Land Surveyor) license
- Proven experience leading survey field crews and/or office teams
- Strong technical knowledge across boundary, construction, and topographic surveying
- Experience with survey equipment, data collection workflows, and modern surveying software
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across disciplines
