Senior Vice President, Construction - Data Center Delivery

The Opportunity

We're partnered with a rapidly scaling digital infrastructure business delivering large, high-density / AI-ready data center developments across the US. They're seeking a Senior Vice President of Construction to take full responsibility for the delivery of a flagship build - acting as the single-point accountable lead from early works through commissioning and turnover.

This is a delivery-first, owner-side leadership role. You'll be trusted to run the build with genuine autonomy, lead the commercial interface with the prime contractor, and coach a small support team (analyst/associate level). This is not a corporate oversight role - it's a senior operator who still wants to be close to execution.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Project Leadership & Accountability

• Own end-to-end delivery of a large-scale, mission-critical data center build (groundworks through commissioning and handover).
• Drive outcomes across schedule, cost, safety, quality, risk, and operational readiness.
• Set the delivery cadence: site governance, reporting, milestone control, and executive decision-making.

Construction Lifecycle Oversight

• Lead the full lifecycle: planning, design coordination, permitting interface, mobilisation, vertical build, commissioning, and closeout.
• Ensure a seamless transition from preconstruction into field execution with clear scopes, drawings, and site alignment.
• Maintain relentless focus on the reliability standards required in hyperscale and high-density environments.

Execution Excellence & Standardisation

• Implement standardised delivery processes and site governance to improve predictability and speed-to-market.
• Own end-to-end change management across GC, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve constructability, programme efficiency, and cost competitiveness.

Commercial & Contractor Management

• Lead prime contractor (GC) selection and performance management as the primary owner-side counterpart.
• Partner with legal and finance on AIA-style contracts, negotiations, claims, and change orders.
• Hold vendors and contractors accountable to scope, schedule, quality, and safety expectations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with design, engineering, operations, finance, and executive leadership to integrate the build into the wider portfolio.
• Act as the senior escalation point for all construction delivery matters on the project.

What They're Looking For

• 20+ years of construction leadership experience (owner-side and/or GC), ideally within data centers, mission-critical, or complex industrial infrastructure.
• Proven delivery of multiple large-scale, high-megawatt-class data center builds, end-to-end, as the accountable owner.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems, commissioning readiness, and reliability-driven construction.
• Commercially confident with AIA contracts, bid processes, negotiations, and change management.
• Hands-on builder mentality - comfortable being close to the field and site teams.
• Experience with tools such as Procore, MS Project, Primavera P6, or similar.
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).

Working Environment

This role is based in-office at corporate HQ in Brickell (Miami), with regular presence on active construction sites.
