(Statewide MT Travel Required)
Salary Range: $115,000- 135,000 + Bonus and Per Diem
A well‑established General Contractor in Montana that is looking to bring on an experienced Bridge Superintendent to support their growing portfolio of heavy civil and infrastructure projects. This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of key bridge builds across the state while working with a respected team known for quality, safety, and consistency.
About the Role
This position will oversee field operations on complex bridge construction projects statewide. The right individual will bring strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to maintaining high standards across safety, scheduling, and execution. Frequent travel throughout Montana is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day‑to‑day onsite operations for bridge construction projects
- Coordinate crews, subcontractors, inspectors, and suppliers
- Ensure compliance with all plans, specifications, and safety protocols
- Maintain short‑term and long‑term project schedules
- Handle equipment coordination, materials tracking, and quality control
- Communicate regularly with project leadership and engineering teams
- Conduct safety meetings and uphold OSHA standards
- Complete daily reporting and documentation
- Travel to multiple project sites across Montana
Required Experience
- 5-10+ years in bridge or heavy civil construction
- Experience supervising crews on DOT, structural bridge, or infrastructure projects
- Hands‑on background with structural steel, concrete, falsework, shoring, cofferdams, or piling
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing and safety practices
- Ability to collaborate with inspectors, agencies, and engineering teams
- Blueprint and CAD familiarity; ability to read and interpret plans
- Competence in scheduling and reporting software
Preferred Qualifications
- Background working with General Contractors on transportation or infrastructure builds
- OSHA 10/30 certification
- Heavy equipment, rigging, or crane operation experience is an advantage
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving abilities
- Ability to adapt to shifting field conditions
