The Role
As Mechanical Project Manager, you will lead healthcare projects from preconstruction through to turnover-often within live, operational environments where minimal disruption is critical.
You'll play a key role in delivering HVAC and plumbing upgrades, renovations, and system installations in hospitals, medical offices, and treatment facilities-where careful planning, infection control, and stakeholder coordination are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full project lifecycle from estimating and planning through to closeout
- Lead healthcare renovation and upgrade projects in occupied facilities
- Oversee budgets, schedules, procurement, and cost forecasting
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams
- Act as the primary client interface, maintaining strong relationships
- Drive RFIs, submittals, change orders, and commissioning processes
- Ensure strict compliance with healthcare safety and infection control protocols
- Conduct site assessments to evaluate existing systems and constraints
- Identify value engineering opportunities and efficiency improvements
- Deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget
About You
- Proven experience managing mechanical (HVAC/plumbing) construction projects
- Strong exposure to healthcare projects or other mission-critical environments
- Experience working in live facilities with complex phasing and coordination
- Strong commercial acumen with budget and cost control expertise
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise across clinical and construction teams
- Proficiency in project management tools (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project preferred)
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and confident making decisions in fast-paced environments
