LVI Associates are working with a leading, employee-owned engineering consultancy looking to appoint a Practise Builder Water/Wastewater leader to build and scale their presence in the Kansas City market.
This is a high-impact, entrepreneurial role for someone who enjoys operating at the intersection of client engagement, business development, and technical delivery.
The Opportunity
You'll take ownership of growing a local Water/Wastewater practice, with the autonomy and backing of a well-established national platform. The focus is on winning work, delivering projects, and building a high-performing team around you.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a Water/Wastewater practice across the Kansas City region
- Drive business development efforts, winning work from new and existing municipal and utility clients
- Develop and execute a clear growth strategy for the local market
- Manage and deliver projects profitably, ensuring high-quality outcomes
- Build, mentor, and lead a team of engineers and project managers
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with local agencies, municipalities, and stakeholders
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, supporting technical problem-solving and project delivery
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years' experience in Water/Wastewater engineering (treatment, conveyance, or utilities)
- Proven track record of winning work and developing client relationships
- Strong local network across Kansas and/or Missouri (municipalities, utilities, agencies)
- Experience leading projects and managing teams
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to build and grow a business unit
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
