Lead Estimator
We are supporting a leading design-build general contractor in their search for a Lead Estimator to join their growing preconstruction team. This firm has a strong national presence and a robust portfolio of industrial, commercial and districution projects. The role offers the opportunity to work on high-value, technically complex developments in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the estimating process for large-scale industrial projects.
- Interpret architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors to gather pricing and scope details.
- Develop conceptual and detailed budgets, bid packages, and value engineering proposals.
- Support proposal development and client presentations during the preconstruction phase.
- Maintain cost databases and stay informed on market trends and construction pricing.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in construction estimating, ideally with a focus on industrial projects.
- Strong understanding of MEP systems, civil/site work, and structural components.
- Experience with estimating software such as Timberline, WinEst, or equivalent.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
