Senior Project Manager- Overhead Utilities
Our client is a long-standing leader in infrastructure construction, is looking for a seasoned Senior Project Manager to lead major utility projects across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. In this role, you'll oversee complex, high-voltage transmission projects from start to finish - managing teams, budgets, timelines, and client relationships. You'll be the go-to person for both internal teams and external partners, ensuring everything runs smoothly, safely, and profitably.
What You'll Do:
- Lead large-scale or multi-discipline construction projects, ensuring they meet customer expectations, deadlines, and budgets.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing updates and addressing concerns.
- Supervise and mentor project teams, including other project managers, superintendents, and union craft workers.
- Monitor on-site progress, safety, and quality control.
- Manage project documentation, contracts, change orders, and cost tracking.
- Oversee billing, invoicing, and cash flow to keep finances on track.
- Conduct site walk-throughs with clients and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Drive project execution through strong leadership and proactive problem-solving.
- Ensure timely close-out of projects, including final billing and lessons learned.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of project management experience in overhead utility transmission.
- Strong knowledge of high-voltage construction, safety standards, and union labor practices.
- Experience managing subcontractors and negotiating contracts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools (Primavera P6 preferred).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% and work in varied site conditions.
- OSHA 30 and PMP certification are a plus.
