Overview:
A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a highly motivated Geostructural Project Manager to join its Geotechnical division. This role offers the opportunity to lead geostructural design services across diverse, multidisciplinary projects while building and mentoring a team of talented engineers. The position involves strategic growth of geostructural services nationwide and collaboration with senior leadership to expand capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare scopes of work, proposals, and budgets for geostructural design projects.
- Serve as project manager for geostructural projects, overseeing schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers specializing in geostructural design.
- Develop and maintain client relationships and participate in professional networking events.
- Drive business growth and service expansion, including cross-selling other disciplines.
- Perform and review engineering calculations and design drawings for:
- Support of excavation (SOE)
- Temporary and permanent foundations
- Retaining structures
- GRS systems, dams, levees, and embankments
- Ensure contractual commitments are met and work is completed per client requirements.
- Monitor project forecasts, schedules, cost estimates, and assume profit and loss (P&L) responsibility.
- Maintain quality control and manage project documentation.
- Travel as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Master's degree with Geotechnical or Structural specialty preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in NY or ability to obtain within 3 months.
- 8-10+ years of relevant experience in geostructural or geotechnical engineering.
- Proven leadership skills with experience mentoring and developing talent.
- Strong project management capabilities from concept through completion.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in geotechnical design software and computer applications.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English for job-related communications.
Salary Range: $103,000 - $136,000 (commensurate with experience).
