Role Overview

The company is seeking an experienced Data Center Manager - Site Lead to oversee operations at a flagship AI infrastructure site. This facility supports hundreds of thousands of GPUs and is critical to delivering high-availability services to global clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead site operations and ensure 99.99% uptime for mission-critical infrastructure
  • Manage and prioritize tasks using internal tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)
  • Collaborate with internal teams to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
  • Interface with colocation partners to understand site topology and resolve issues
  • Oversee power, cooling, and networking systems supporting large-scale GPU deployments
  • Lead and mentor a team of technicians and engineers

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience managing large-scale data center operations
  • Strong technical expertise in mechanical and electrical systems (power, cooling, fire suppression)
  • Proven leadership in managing teams and multimillion-dollar facility budgets
  • Familiarity with GPU clusters and AI workload requirements
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration

Preferred Experience

  • Background in AI/ML infrastructure or HPC environments
  • Experience with sustainability initiatives and PUE optimization
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as SOC2 or ISO 27001
