Project Manager / Estimator - Heavy Civil Construction
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project planning, scheduling, and execution for civil construction projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for bids and proposals, including quantity takeoffs, subcontractor/vendor pricing, and risk analysis.
- Collaborate with field teams, engineers, and clients to ensure alignment on scope, budget, and timelines.
- Manage subcontractor relationships, procurement processes, and contract administration.
- Monitor project progress, budgets, and change orders, providing regular reporting to senior leadership.
- Support business development efforts through strategic estimating and proposal development.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in heavy civil construction, with a focus on project management and/or estimating.
- Strong understanding of sitework, utilities, earthwork, and concrete scopes.
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., HCSS, HeavyBid) and project management tools.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
