Position Overview
The company is seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to lead and manage heavy civil and sitework projects. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to coordinate multiple crews and subcontractors on large-scale projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all phases of site development, including:
- Excavation, demolition, and land clearing
- Earthwork and site grading
- Utility installation (water, sewer, drainage systems)
- Road construction and paving
- Manage daily operations, ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets
- Coordinate equipment, materials, and subcontractors
- Enforce safety standards and regulatory compliance
- Interpret plans, specifications, and civil drawings
- Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and clients
- Resolve on-site challenges promptly and efficiently
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in heavy civil/sitework supervision
- Strong knowledge of excavation, grading, and underground utilities
- Familiarity with roadway construction, sewage systems, and stormwater management
- Ability to manage multiple crews and subcontractors
- OSHA certification preferred
- Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills
