Job Title: National Head of Data Centers

Position Overview:

We're partnering with a top-tier general contractor to hire a National Head of Data Centers - a visionary leader to launch and scale a new business unit focused on mission-critical infrastructure. This is a rare opportunity to build a data center division from the ground up, with full ownership of strategy, structure, and execution.

You'll work directly with the C-suite to define the roadmap, lead national growth, and deliver high-performance projects across the hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise data center markets. This role is ideal for a senior executive with deep roots in the data center construction space and a passion for building high-performing teams and scalable operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership:
  Define and execute the national strategy for the data center business unit, including market positioning, service offerings, and long-term growth plans.

• Business Development:
  Identify and pursue new opportunities across hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise clients. Build relationships with key stakeholders, developers, and end-users.

• Operational Oversight:
  Establish and lead project delivery standards, operational frameworks, and best practices tailored to mission-critical environments.

• Team Building:
  Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of preconstruction, project management, and field operations professionals.

• Client Engagement:
  Serve as the executive face of the division, ensuring exceptional client experience and long-term partnerships.

• P&L Ownership:
  Manage division-level financials, including forecasting, budgeting, and profitability targets.

• Collaboration:
  Work cross-functionally with internal departments (precon, estimating, safety, legal, etc.) to align resources and drive execution.

Qualifications:

• 15+ years of experience in construction, with a strong focus on data center or mission-critical projects.
• Proven track record in executive leadership roles within a general contractor or construction management firm.
• Deep understanding of data center delivery models, MEP systems, and industry standards (e.g., Uptime Institute, TIA-942).
• Strong business acumen with experience in P&L management, strategic planning, and organizational development.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to travel nationally as needed.
