Description
We're looking for an Engineering Project Manager to drive critical capital and technical projects within a GMP‑regulated manufacturing environment. You'll oversee equipment upgrades, facility improvements, and multi‑disciplinary engineering initiatives while coordinating closely with cross‑functional stakeholders. This role is hands‑on, fast‑moving, and central to the site's operational success, ideal for an engineer who thrives on solving complex problems and delivering high‑impact results.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution of capital and engineering projects, ensuring alignment with site and corporate goals.
- Oversee multidisciplinary manufacturing engineering initiatives, including equipment upgrades, infrastructure modernization, utility improvements, and security enhancements under GMP expectations.
- Maintain and monitor project budgets, forecasts, financial performance, and cost controls.
- Ensure compliance with project documentation standards, phase‑gate requirements, and change‑control processes.
- Partner closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Validation, Facilities, and other teams to deliver integrated project outcomes.
- Manage external engineering firms, vendors, and contractors, ensuring high‑quality execution aligned with schedule, safety, and technical scope.
Experience Required
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related field); advanced degree preferred.
- 7-10+ years in pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing, with strong experience in CQV‑related engineering upgrades, GMP operations, and equipment qualification.
- Demonstrated success leading multiple capital projects simultaneously within regulated environments.
- Strong technical knowledge of pharmaceutical equipment, utilities, packaging systems, and validation lifecycles (IQ/OQ/PQ).
- Proficiency using Microsoft Project for schedule creation and project tracking.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills with the ability to influence cross‑functional teams.
- Ability to work 100% on‑site in a GMP facility in West Chester, OH.
