Salary: $75,000 - 120,000
Position Overview:
The Environmental Project Manager requires expertise in environmental investigation, remediation, and regulatory compliance, with additional experience in technical team leadership and client management considered highly beneficial. Responsibilities include full project ownership, technical document review, and support in complex regulatory strategies. Strong leadership, communication, technical writing, and analytical skills are essential, along with the ability to manage complex tasks and engage with senior-level clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage environmental investigation and remediation projects, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Lead and mentor technical teams, assigning resources and supporting staff development.
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, and deliverables to meet client expectations.
- Serve as the primary client contact, maintaining strong relationships and proactive communication.
- Review and author technical documents, including site characterizations and remedial action plans.
- Develop and implement regulatory strategies in line with state and local policies.
- Collaborate with internal teams and business development staff to support high-quality service.
- Track project performance against financial and operational goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's in Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- 5-10+ years of experience in environmental investigation, remediation, and project management.
- Strong knowledge of Pennsylvania regulations (Act 2, HSCA, Chapter 245).
- Proven ability to manage clients, budgets, and technical teams.
- Excellent communication, technical writing, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience authoring and reviewing complex technical reports and proposals.
- Professional Geologist (PG) certification is a plus.
- Business development and proposal writing experience are strong assets.
