Location: Multiple Offices in Maryland | Remote Options Available
Our client, a respected civil engineering consulting firm with over four decades of experience, is seeking a (Senior) Water Resources Engineer with 5-15 years of experience to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven professional with a strong background in stormwater management and transportation-related water resources design to contribute to impactful infrastructure projects across Maryland.
The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, a solid understanding of municipal and state regulations, and the ability to manage multiple projects and client relationships. Projects include work for major public agencies such as the Maryland State Highway Administration, Maryland Transit Administration, and various county governments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead or support the design of stormwater management systems and H/H modeling
- Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams
- Prepare and review engineering reports, plans, and specifications
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements
- Contribute to project planning, scheduling, and budgeting
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Civil Engineering (required)
- PE license (required)
- Proficiency in HEC-RAS and TR-20 (required)
- Experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD (preferred)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
