Survey Crew Chief
You will direct and mentor survey crew members, coordinate schedules, and communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients regarding field conditions, access needs, and potential issues. The ideal candidate understands how to interpret plats, legal descriptions, construction plans, and specifications, and can independently solve field challenges while maintaining project timelines and quality standards.
This position requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions typical of Minnesota. Knowledge of local surveying practices, municipal requirements, and construction methods common to the Twin Cities market is highly valued. Candidates should be comfortable working independently, taking initiative, and representing the firm professionally on job sites.
Prior surveying experience as a crew chief or senior field technician is required, along with proficiency using modern survey technology and related software. A valid driver's license is required, and licensure or the pursuit of professional survey credentials is a plus.
