Job Overview:
My client is seeking a highly motivated Assistant Project Manager to join their team in Boston, MA. The Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for assisting the Project Management team in overseeing the construction of water and wastewater treatment projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Manager in planning and executing construction activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating with subcontractors and vendors.
- Ensure that construction activities are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with project specifications and regulations.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure project milestones are met.
- Review and approve project plans and specifications, and ensure that all necessary permits and approvals are obtained.
- Assist in managing the project budget, including tracking expenses, forecasting costs, and reporting variances.
- Prepare and distribute project reports, including progress reports, financial reports, and change order logs.
- Assist in managing project risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Attend meetings with project stakeholders, including owners, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in water and wastewater construction, with a strong understanding of the design and construction of treatment facilities.
- Experience working on large-scale construction projects, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles, including scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with project stakeholders, including owners, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
