They are a close group of Architects and Building Science Specialists who challenge themselves to grow in their skills and value a work/life balance. They are seeking a Building Envelope Specialist to add to their growing Seattle practice,
The ideal candidate has between 5-7 years of field experience working on building envelope/enclosure related projects, air barrier testing, waterproofing and some roofing, flexibility to work collaboratively in a team environment or independently from start to finish, based on project needs; is self-motivated and can manage their time efficiently; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities Include:
Performing site inspections and CA tasks such as submittal review and answering RFIs
Conduct field testing of exterior building envelope components including air barrier testing and water infiltration testing of glazing systems per ASTM and AAMA standards
Conduct building forensic investigations to identify the sources of failures
Preparing field reports following up site inspections, forensic investigations, and testing per company and industry standards

Qualifications:
5 years minimum field experience inspecting building envelope material installations (roofing, water barriers, and/or air barriers) experience installing said materials is acceptable
Desired certifications: RRO, certified IR Thermographer, certified Air Barrier Tester
Able to lift and move equipment around a job site, up to approximately 50 lbs
Dependable, knowledgeable, and reliable, pays high attention to detail and takes the initiative in their work
Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with clients and team members
