Leadership/Growth
- Serve as a member of the Site Solutions Business Unit leadership team
- Hold active role in executing strategic business planning and implementation activities
- Contributes to and recommends course corrections to business unit plan
- Works directly with Business Unit team, other internal units, and Client Service Leaders to market and grow the Civil Engineering practice
Project Delivery
- Works directly with Director of Quality as they manage development and implementation of Corporate and Business Unit quality initiatives
- Works directly with Director of Projects to ensure there is engagement of Subject Matter Specialists and assignment of the best fit Project Manager in the scoping and production phases of projects
- May serve as the Principal in Charge for a client
Financial Management - Monitors civil engineering sales and operational performance versus plan and takes proactive steps to achieve plan
- Supports review of requested hires and impact to business plan and goals
- Assists in Annual Business Planning process and regular revenue forecasting
Staff Management
- Serves as Leader of Civil Engineering
- Leads and facilitates a collaborative work environment and advances initiatives that support a positive workplace culture
- Sets clear expectations and actions to be incorporated into employees' annual goals
- Works directly with Business Unit team, Project Managers and Supervisors to ensure staff meeting utilization and billable rate goals
- Encourages staff to present at technical conferences identified by the Business Unit to have strategic importance
- Evaluates and plans for staff development needs
