Responsibilities:
Construction Oversight:
- Conduct on-site inspections to ensure that construction projects comply with plans, specifications, and applicable codes and regulations.
- Monitor and document construction activities, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
- Identify and address construction issues promptly to prevent delays and budget overruns.
Quality Assurance:
- Perform inspections at various stages of construction to verify workmanship and materials meet project requirements.
- Coordinate with project engineers and contractors to resolve any quality-related issues and implement corrective actions.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare detailed daily inspection reports outlining work performed, materials used, and any deviations from project specifications.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all construction activities, including photographs and relevant documentation.
Communication:
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure effective communication and resolution of construction-related matters.
- Provide regular updates on project progress, challenges, and resolutions to the project team.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure that construction activities comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct safety inspections and address any safety concerns promptly to maintain a secure work environment.
Client Interaction:
- Interact with clients to provide updates on project status and address any concerns or inquiries they may have.
- Foster positive client relationships through effective communication and problem-solving.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Colorado required.
- Proven experience as a Construction Engineer Inspector in the infrastructure industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to identify and resolve construction-related issues.
- Proficient in using construction management software and tools.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., NICET, ACI) are a plus.
