As the Audio-Visual Systems Designer, you will play a pivotal role in transforming conceptual designs and bill of materials into comprehensive drawing packages for our installation team. Your primary responsibility is to craft code-compliant designs that encompass device layouts, system circuitry, calculations, and detailed drawings within the Smart Spaces Audio Visual systems division. This position is based at our state-of-the-art corporate headquarters in sunny St. Petersburg, FL, serving as the hub for our entire operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Documentation: Create meticulous audio/visual wiring diagrams, architectural drawings, calculations, and submittals for various projects.
- Efficiency Enhancement: Provide reviews to enhance project efficiency and offer value engineering options for existing designs.
- Collaboration: Coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, and project personnel to ensure seamless project execution.
Desired Qualifications:
- Professional Expertise: A highly motivated expert in computer-aided design and drafting modeling programs, with a strong commitment to precision in a dynamic environment.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Audio Visual Systems design, particularly desirable if experienced with large-scale, multi-family residential projects.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (BIM) is a must, while familiarity with Bluebeam Revu is preferred.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of audio-visual theory, lighting controls, and shade controls.
- Preferred Skills: Familiarity with Crestron, Q-SYS, and Cisco Systems is highly desirable, and CTS-D certification would be a significant asset.
- Software Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
