Overview:
LVI are currently seeking a Senior Professional to provide different solutions for the insurance industries forensic accounting needs across Canada for an industry leading consulting firm.
In this role, the successful candidate will have an opportunity to grow into becoming an Expert Forensic Accountant, offering services in Income Replacement Benefit Quantification, Economic Loss calculations, Business Interruption Claims and Litigation Support.
Key Responsibilities:
ยท Preliminary to intermediate analysis of sales, production and other accounting data
ยท Physical inventory observation, price testing
ยท Examination of source documents pertinent to engagement
ยท Check and proof reports and schedules
ยท Conduct phone or in person interviews to obtain information
ยท Prepare preliminary draft of report narrative and schedules
ยท Analyze and reconcile claim to final calculation
ยท Research, data analysis and evaluation
ยท Research and other tasks assigned by manager
Qualifications:
ยท Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance
ยท Minimum of 8 years of accounting experience
ยท Strong Forensic Accounting experience preferred
ยท CPA or actively pursuing CPA designation
ยท Willing to travel internationally and potentially for extended periods of time
ยท Must have a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
ยท Must have demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
ยท Possess a professional demeanor and be a positive thinker
ยท Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
