A rapidly growing engineering and consulting firm is looking to add a Director of Survey to its Washington and Oregon practice. This position will be key in the firm's continued growth and success in the Pacific Northwest.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the annual Project Manager Business Plan, strategically guiding survey operations in the Portland area.
- Collaborate closely with clients and management to define precise project objectives and create comprehensive proposals that meet client needs.
- Ensure the establishment of strong contractual relationships with clients, involving skillful negotiation and securing signed agreements before project commencement.
- Manage project invoicing and diligently oversee accounts receivable collection, ensuring financial practices align with contractual agreements.
- Foster effective internal communication, actively sharing information and encouraging dialogue across teams, sectors, and our organization for streamlined operations.
- Cultivate robust and lasting client relationships, keeping clients well-informed and proactively addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Drive business growth through dedicated marketing support, persuasive presentations, persistent proposal follow-ups, and nurturing client relationships to support expansion and success.
Qualifications:
- A current Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in Oregon and/or Washington is required
- 8+ years of experience in managing land survey projects
- Proven experience in survey project management and leadership
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (surveying, engineering, or similar) is required
