We are currently accepting resumes for a new High voltage estimator position with the nations top electrical contractor. The ideal candidate will be based in the Salt Lake region and willing to travel as needed.
Our client is currently growing out a new Electric Vehicle division for their team and are looking to double in size this year! They have a massive backlog of projects across the west coast, southeast, midwest, and southeast. They operate across multiple markets including power delivery, renewable, and EV infrastructure.
Estimator plays a crucial role in working closely with the Director and Project Management to shape the technical aspects of various construction projects, particularly those related to renewable energy, electric power, electric vehicle charging, electrical utilities, and heavy-civil construction. This involves independently crafting cost estimates, project time lines, and resource needs.
Responsibilities:
- oversee the financial aspects and contract management for several ongoing projects, and working closely with the construction management team to ensure the successful execution of each project.
- Take the lead in preparing and evaluating Request for Proposal (RFP) documents provided by the project owner, as well as assembling the final pricing schedules.
- create detailed pricing schedules for intricate construction projects, which involves setting up criteria with varying importance for evaluating proposals.
- Lead meetings to review estimates and proposals with colleagues and senior management, providing supporting materials that explain the total cost and the rationale behind the estimate.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, renewable energy, and electric utility projects.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
