Responsibilities
Manage and implement safety programs in line with establishing safety policy and written procedures.
- Plan, develop, administer and manage safety training in accordance with company yearly EH&S goals and objectives in line with the company's yearly business plan.
- Develop safety work plans in collaboration with the SVP EHS and cross-functional teams
- Manage safety quality data and metrics collection, (TRA - LTA- LWDs) manages the Loss run reporting and related activities
- Use safety metrics to identify deficiencies and take corrective actions, to track yearly improvement metrics
- Investigate employee accidents, close calls and near misses to determine root cause(s) and how such accidents can be preventable in the future.
- Ensure all documentation and record-keeping is properly completed and retained, including accident logs and investigation reports
- Actively manage compliance with local, state and federal regulations, to include NYC-DOB, NYS-EPA, DOL-OSHA and Elevator Industry Standards
- Conduct monthly Field Compliance Assessments (FCAs) of work sites, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety compliance
- Regular and ongoing communication with field supervisors and cross-functional teams
- Good oration skills to communicate internal and external meetings and presentations with clients and industry leaders
- Actively support the organization's efforts to meet or exceed EH&S yearly goals and objectives
- Partner with operations to integrate EH&S performance and ownership in field operations and to provide strategic leadership driving continuous improvement in EH&S performance
- Assist in developing, maintaining, and reviewing the EH&S program to ensure compliance with current and regulatory and corporate requirements
- Coordinate and organize quarterly safety committee meetings
- Actively participate in management review meetings
- Collaborate with EHS professionals to establish or adopt company best practices
- Coordinate appropriate procedures, approvals, and control of hazardous, regulated and solid wastes
- Manage all safety performance measures, documentation and training records in collaboration with field operations
