Excavation Superintendent (Airway)
Introduction
Our client is seeking an experienced Excavation Superintendent (Airway) to join their team in the Greater Chicago area. This is a permanent, full-time position with a competitive salary of $80,000-$150,000 per year. The successful candidate will have experience in road building, airport experience (airway/taxiway), highways, and be comfortable with $40 million project size.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of excavation and heavy civil construction projects
- Manage construction teams and subcontractors
- Ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and meets quality standards
- Monitor and maintain project schedules and budgets
- Prepare and submit progress reports to senior management
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
Skills
- Experience in road building, airport experience (airway/taxiway), highways
- Experience in excavation and heavy civil construction projects
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
