Job Title: Fire Safety Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Fire Safety Engineer in Melbourne. The Fire Safety Engineer will be responsible for providing advice on all aspects of fire safety engineering and ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations. This role requires an ambitious individual with excellent problem-solving skills to assess fire risks, develop fire safety strategies, and provide effective fire safety solutions for various projects. The Fire Safety Engineer must also possess exceptional communication skills to effectively liaise with project teams and stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct fire safety assessments and risk evaluations for various projects, including healthcare, residential, commercial, and industrial buildings, and provide recommendations to mitigate fire risks.
- Develop and implement fire safety strategies in accordance with local and international codes, standards, and regulations.
- Review architectural plans, engineering designs, and construction drawings to ensure compliance with fire safety requirements.
- Perform computer-based fire simulations to analyse fire behavior and evacuation strategies.
- Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure ongoing compliance with fire safety requirements.
- Prepare clear and concise reports and presentations to communicate fire safety findings and recommendations to clients and regulatory authorities.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and emerging fire safety regulations.
- Engage and collaborate with internal stakeholders, clients, architects, contractors, and regulatory authorities to deliver successful fire safety solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Fire Safety Engineering, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in fire safety engineering.
- Extensive knowledge of fire safety codes, regulations, and standards.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities to assess complex fire safety challenges and propose effective solutions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, project teams, and regulatory authorities.
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
