My client, a multi-disciplinary structural engineering firm has multiple offices across the US. They offer a collaborative atmosphere and provide a strong focus on professional growth.
My client have an immediate opening for a Forensic Structural Engineer in multiple office locations: OHIO, MILWAUKEE, SEATTLE, TENNESSEE - to provide excellence in managing and training, technical work and business development (although BD is not as essential).
Typical duties and responsibilities:
* Applies broad knowledge of principles and practices in a specific practice area.
* Independently evaluates, selects and adapts standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
* Acquires general knowledge of principles and practices of related fields, and ability to function on multi-disciplinary teams.
* Works on multiple projects of moderate size or portions of major projects.
* Responsible for implementing progressive services and business strategies in order to develop and increase our client base through strong client relationships.
* Assigns tasks to team of engineers, technicians and administrative staff.
* Plans and coordinates detailed aspects of the engineering work.
* Prepares scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments.
* Assists with proposals to provide professional services or obtain funding for engineering projects or programs.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Structural or CIVIL Engineering
* Professional Engineering registration (P.E. License) and knowledge of State Building Codes preferred
* 5+ years' experience in the structural design/forensics and detailing of high rise, low rise, commercial, residential institutional and governmental facilities. Forensic Engineering, Litigation work, and testing/investigation and expert witness is a plus.
* Ability to develop key client relationships.
* Proven ability to be successful in a fast pace environment.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
