Heavy Civil and/or Industrial Estimator
Location: Vancouver, Washington
Salary: $140,000- $175,000 + Bonus(s)
This leading general contractor is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Heavy Civil and/or Industrial Estimator to join their team in Vancouver, WA. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for heavy civil and industrial construction projects
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and contracts to determine accurate material, labor, and overhead costs
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop competitive bids
- Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and conditions
- Maintain and update estimating databases and cost libraries
Experience Needed:
- 3+ years of estimating experience in heavy civil and/or industrial construction
- Proven track record of preparing successful bids for large-scale projects
- Familiarity with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Sage Estimating, or similar tools)
- Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and regulations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
