A rapidly growing heavy civil General Contractor is currently looking for a seasoned Project Manager to add to their team in the Charleston, SC area. This contractor has a great reputation across the heavy civil industry, well-known for their work on NCDOT and SCDOT projects in addition to their work in the commercial/residential sector. They have been steadily growing over the past decade and currently have multiple years' worth of projects in their pipeline.
The Project Manager will be responsible for:
- Bid package preparation, prepare bid tabulations, and offer suggestions for selections by owners
- Directing scheduling, budgeting, and bidding of projects
- Reviewing request for changes and provide approval
- Interacting directly with the client, manager, vendors, and other contractors
The Project Manager should have the following qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with highway/roadway and heavy civil site construction projects in a Project Engineer or Project Manager role
- Strong knowledge of and experience with construction activities such as mass clearing, grading, excavation, underground wet utilities, concrete/asphalt paving, and structural concrete
- Experience on NCDOT or SCDOT projects is highly preferred
- Experience with commercial and residential civil sitework projects is highly preferred
- Proficiency in softwares such as Bluebeam, Procore, Primavera P6, and/or Microsoft Project
- Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering field is preferred
- Willingness to adhere to company policies and values
