We are working with a multi-faceted and rapidly growing engineering firm that has a strong presence throughout they Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast and Northeast areas. The primary focus of this position is to serve as a Highway Transportation Engineer for the deign if new construction, reconstruction and renovation of roadways, sidewalks an intersections Maryland.
Qualifications:
- Active Maryland PE registration is required or pending, VDOT PE and DCDOT PE is beneficial.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience using MicroStation, Inroads {preferred), GeoPak, OpenRoads (a plus) LDD or other CAD design software.
- 4-7 years' progressive experience in a combination of highway design and project management responsibilities
- Experience with site development and / or municipal projects a plus
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the work of Design Engineers and the Engineering Technicians
- Provide Quality control and oversee the preparation of detailed engineering designs of roadway, highway projects. Including plans, specifications and estimates.
- Participate in industry associations and make presentations.
- Coordinate and work with other design teams and assess the activities and deliverables of the various subconsultants and disciplines associated with the project. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
