This firm is currently seeking an Industrial Hygienist specializing in asbestos, lead-based paint, and PCB work, based in either our New Haven, CT, or Boston, MA office.
Job Title: Industrial Hygienist
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in completing hazardous/regulated building material inspections.
- Monitor projects during HBM abatement activities and collect clearance sampling (on-site reading not required).
- Assist with IAQ and PCB assessments.
- Occasionally work overtime or outside normal business hours.
- Coordinate with laboratories and contractors.
- Assist with report writing and developing project scopes of work.
- Report directly to the HBM Practice Lead in New England.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of related industrial hygiene and abatement/remediation monitoring experience (asbestos, lead-based paint, and PCB experience is essential).
- In depth understanding of Massachusetts or Connecticut and Federal asbestos, lead, and PCB regulations/guidelines.
- Ability to read and understand project specifications, drawings, plans, and hazardous materials survey reports.
- Experience with proposal writing, abatement/remediation estimates, report writing, and specifications is a plus.
