My client is seeking a Junior Acoustic Consultant to join our team in San Francisco. The ideal candidate will have a passion for acoustics and a desire to learn and grow within the industry. As a Junior Acoustic Consultant, you will be responsible for assisting in the assessment and design of acoustic solutions for a variety of projects, including buildings, transportation infrastructure, and environmental noise.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting site visits to assess noise levels and identify potential noise sources
- Conduct noise modeling and simulations using specialized software
- Assist in the design of acoustic solutions, such as sound barriers, acoustic treatments, and HVAC noise control
- Prepare technical reports and recommendations for clients
- Collaborate with other members of the team to ensure project deadlines and objectives are met
- Attend meetings and communicate with clients to discuss project progress and results
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and technologies related to acoustics
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Acoustics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in using acoustic modeling software (such as CadnaA, SoundPLAN, or EASE)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
- A willingness to learn and grow within the industry
