We have a current opportunity for a Lead Physical Substation Designer on a permanent basis. The position will be based in the Dallas/Fort-Worth, Texas area.
Responsibilities:
- Create design/construction drawing packages for substation design projects including substation general plan, elevation and detail, bill of material, conduit & cable schedule
- Provide engineering/technical expertise to solve problems & provide leadership skills to manage work
- Review work of subordinate design professionals
- Utilize company/client standards to produce new drawings and update existing drawings utilizing AutoCAD
Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience in design and/or drafting disciplines with a background in Electrical Substation Design
- Experience working with AutoCAD
- Physical Substation Design Experience
- Ability to work independently with limited direction & oversight
- Legally able to work within the United States for any length of time
