My Client is seeking an experienced, licensed individual who is familiar with concrete in both the design & assessment of existing and new structures to join their tier 1 consulting firm in Minneapolis, MN. In addition to exceptional technical skills, successful applicants should demonstrate good client facing and business development skills.
Responsibilities
* 8-16 hours per week, local on-site field observation/assessment in all seasons and weather conditions
* Document site observation through written condition assessment reports
* Use of structural analysis software including RAM, RISA 3D, ADAPT and others
* Applies the firm's methodology and enforces project standards and quality assurance procedures
* Creates and executes project work plans and revises plans to meet changing requirements
* Identifies and utilizes all available resources to move multiple projects towards completion
* Manages all aspects of a project including client requests and day-to-day client interaction
Qualifications
* B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering with structural or materials science emphasis
* PE Licensed in the State of Minnesota (Surrounding states benificial but not required)
* Experience or interest with site observation, structural condition assessments, forensic engineering, non-destructive evaluation methods, failure mechanisms and/or concrete restoration preferred
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Team player and proven positive attitude when working with both internal and external colleagues, clients, and contractors
