We have a current opportunity for an Offshore Wind Developer on a permanent basis. The position will be based in Seoul. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and advancement of Offshore Wind projects in Korea. You will play a crucial role in the entire lifecycle of Offshore Wind projects, from initial development stages through wind farm construction and handover to operations.
Responsibilities:
- Portfolio Development: Taking overall responsibility for the development of our project portfolio in Korea, covering all stages from feasibility assessment to bid submission.
- Project Leadership: Leading project teams depending on the project's scope and phase.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinating and influencing internal stakeholders across different geographies and functions to ensure successful project delivery.
- External Engagement: Managing external stakeholder groups, including government bodies, partners, and investors, to maximize engagement and collaboration.
- Project Oversight: Guiding and coordinating the business through various project phases, including permitting, feasibility studies, technical investigations, and business case development.
- Economic Feasibility: Ensuring the assessment of the economic feasibility of the most promising cases and, where relevant, alternative options.
- Regulatory Framework: Securing grid access, necessary consents, and compliance with the regulatory framework.
Role Significance: The Project Development Manager is a pivotal role in our Korea-focused team, both within the country and as part of the broader organization. This position is critical for the successful delivery of projects, and we are seeking a talented and experienced Project Management professional to fill this role.
Qualifications:
- Regulatory and Industry Network: Strong regulatory and industry network knowledge in Korea.
- Project Management Experience: Extensive experience in project management, particularly in large infrastructure projects or similar initiatives in Korea.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills with a proven track record of collaborating with internal and external stakeholder groups.
- Leadership: Ability to lead projects and navigate within a complex international matrix organization.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong commercial and financial acumen.
- PMI Qualifications: PMI qualifications are desirable but not essential.
