We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Principal Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Dallas and lead geotechnical efforts in transportation projects, particularly with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).
Job Description:
As a Principal Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the planning, design, and execution of geotechnical engineering services for transportation projects across Dallas and the broader Texas region. You will have the opportunity to work on high-profile TxDOT projects, ensuring that they meet the highest quality standards while addressing geotechnical challenges effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage geotechnical engineering projects for TxDOT, including roadways, bridges, tunnels, and other transportation infrastructure.
- Provide technical expertise in geotechnical engineering, foundation design, and soil-structure interaction.
- Conduct site investigations, geotechnical studies, and soil testing to assess project feasibility.
- Develop and implement geotechnical design recommendations and solutions.
- Oversee and mentor a team of geotechnical engineers and technicians.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success.
- Maintain compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Prepare high-quality reports, proposals, and technical documents.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Texas.
- Minimum of 15 years of geotechnical engineering experience, with a strong focus on TxDOT and other Transportation projects.
- Demonstrated expertise in geotechnical investigations, design, and analysis.
- Proficiency with geotechnical software and design tools.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to lead a team effectively.
