One of the leading Connective Technologies provider in the Renewable Industry at the moment. Although they just recently just entered into the E-Mobility Sector. They are currently looking for a Principal Systems Architect to drive new architecture solutions for residential energy management which will incorporate all facets of Solar, ESS, EV Charging, Advanced Controls and Communication.
The Principal Systems Architect will be responsible for conducting design trade-off studies as well cross functionally outlining what the product will do as well.

Principal Systems Architect Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all of the architecture development for the next generation of residential and commercial energy management systems which includes:
- User interfaces
- Industrial design
- Control
- Communications
- Will be leading multiple disciplines in thought spanning across solar, storage, EV, power systems, load control and micro-grids
- Carry out trade off analysis to determine concept feasibility which will incorporate inputs from various internal partners including business, marketing and technical teams
- Lead and own the system-level functional requirements and any key design decisions for features that may cross over into other engineering teams
- Act as the key technical contact for Customers and Partners, as well as Internal Product Managers, Lab Technicians, and System Engineers in order to communicate during the product design phase
- Convert feature requirements into technical requirements that can be carried out by the engineering teams
Principal Systems Architect Qualifications (not all required):
- Masters Degree (PHD Preferred) in Mechatronics OR Electrical OR Engineering Physics OR Computer Engineering OR Control Systems
- Extensive understanding of power conversion and power systems, specifically in solar, storage, EV and micro-grids
- 10+ years experience in systems engineering and 5+ years in energy systems
- Deep knowledge of codes and regulations which should include:
- NEC/NFPA
- UL
- Rule 21
- NEM 2.0
- In addition to Communication Standards:
- IEC 61850
- IEEE 2030.5
- Similar level of experience across Hardware and Software
- Prior experience with applying system methodologies to design and be able to develop cascading requirement scenarios
