We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join their team and play a pivotal role in the planning, design, and execution of water and wastewater projects.
Job Description:
Job Summary: As a Project Engineer in the water and wastewater industry, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of projects, ensuring engineering excellence, and managing the implementation of water treatment and wastewater management systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and in compliance with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the planning and design of water and wastewater projects, including developing project scope, specifications, and engineering drawings.
- Provide technical leadership in water treatment and wastewater management, including the selection and application of technologies and systems.
- Ensure that all project designs and implementations adhere to relevant industry standards, environmental regulations, and safety guidelines.
- Coordinate with various project teams to allocate engineering resources, materials, and equipment as required for successful project execution.
- Implement and oversee quality control and quality assurance processes to maintain high standards of engineering excellence.
- Supervise and monitor construction activities to ensure that they align with design specifications and project plans.
- Identify and assess potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and address issues that may impact project schedules and budgets.
- Act as a technical liaison between the project team and clients, subcontractors, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders. Provide regular project status updates.
- Work with project managers to monitor and manage project costs and expenses, ensuring they remain within budgetary limits.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including engineering calculations, technical reports, and change orders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field (e.g., Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering).
- Professional engineering license (PE) is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Project Engineer in the water and wastewater industry locally.
- Strong technical and engineering skills with expertise in water treatment and wastewater management.
- Proficiency in engineering software and project management tools.
- Knowledge of water and wastewater regulations, environmental guidelines, and industry best practices.
