A leading Heavy Civil General Contractor in Southern California is looking for a Public Works Project Engineer to joining their team in Northern San Diego on a 125 million dollar heavy civil project. the Project will last three years and the position will offer multiple avenues for growth within the firm. REQUIREMENTS
Leadership and superior communication skills are essential; Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Construction Management preferred; 2+ years of experience involved in project management in the construction industry, with Public Works construction experience preferred; Experience in any of the following areas is a plus: contract management, CPM scheduling, or Earned Value Management; Experience with computerized bidding software; Ability to interpret detailed prints and specifications for conceptual, lump sum or unit pricing and to negotiate pricing as needed; Ability to perform take-offs, compare unit pricing and solicit subcontractor pricing.
