Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct site remediation-related investigations in NJ and PA; Identify and implement solutions to both common and more complicated field and/or laboratory problems; Accurately record findings.
- Assist in the planning and execution of field investigations by installing monitoring wells and soil boring, collecting samples, conducting field tests, and collecting and recording data.
- Ability to solve issues you come across on project locations;
- Organize contractors; calibrate, manage, and keep up field gear;
- Manage and record field research;
- Gather and handle environmental sample management;
- Analyze and modify data from the field and laboratories; Interpret guidelines and regulations;
- Create a range of common logs and field forms (such as drilling logs, field investigation diaries, and chain of custody logs);
- Create reports outlining field research and analytical findings.
- Conduct due diligence activities for national portfolios; and
- Perform other duties as requested.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science;
- Field investigation expertise in soil, groundwater, and vapor intrusion;
- Having office experience is a bonus, as is producing technical reports, scheduling, and lab coordination;
- Demonstrated capacity for planning, carrying out, and training new team members in the field;
- Knowledge of NJ and PA site cleanup rules, guidelines, and paperwork;
- outstanding analytical, judgmental, and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail;
- Shown capacity for autonomous thought, teamwork, and direction-following;
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, as well as verbal and written communication skills;
- Computer literacy, mastery of the Microsoft Office Suite
- OSHA HAZWOPER certification after 40 hours, with yearly 8-hour updates; and
