Company Summary: An engineering and consulting firm specializing in Renewables Energy is looking to add a Director of Civil Engineering to their team! This firm is partnered with industry leading developers, engineering, and construction management firms, working on Solar, BESS, Wind, and EV charging projects. The fast-growing company is seeking a highly skilled, versatile Civil Engineer to provide civil designs, technical reviews, permitting, and consulting to their clients. The Director of Civil Engineering will report directly to the VP of Renewable Energy and have the unique opportunity to build their own team.
The Director of Civil Engineering will be responsible for:
- Prepare civil engineering designs, cost estimates, and technical specifications for utility-scale renewable projects and substations
- Clearing, grading, cut/fill, drainage, access road, etc. civil designs for solar projects
- Required permitting
- Traveling to site as needs
- Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, local jurisdictions applying relevant codes and standards
The Director of Civil Engineering must have:
- B.S. in Civil Engineering
- Experience with AutoCAD, PVSyst, or other relevant software for generating drawings
- 5+ years in in renewables (Utility- scale Solar, Wind, or BESS)
- PE (highly recommended)
