Role Overview: We are seeking a Senior Renewable Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead the electrical engineering design and analysis for utility-scale renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, and hybrid systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the electrical design and integration for large-scale renewable energy projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies and technical analyses to optimize project performance.
- Develop and review electrical specifications, drawings, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Australian standards, grid connection requirements, and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers, civil engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the team.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes affecting renewable energy.
- Prepare and present technical reports to clients and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- RPEV (Registered Professional Engineer of Victoria) or RPEQ (Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland) or equivalent Chartered Engineer qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on renewable energy projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems design, power generation, and grid integration.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., ETAP, PSS/E, MATLAB).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
