Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Civil Engineering (or related field)
- 5+ years of road/highway design
- Ohio PE
- Proficiency in CAD and other PC software packages, Microstation
- Experience with Autocad Civil 3D and/or Bentley Openroads not required but preferred
Responsibilities
- In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects and support designs in conventional & integrated (design/build) projects
- Perform a variety of design and analysis functions for road/highway and related projects
- Perform vertical alignments, and horizontal impacts, analyze cross-sections, calculate super-elevations, and execute grading and permit/plan preparation
- Perform complex engineering computations and analyses, material quantity takeoffs, estimates and surveys
- Perform designs using complex software like Microstation, InRoads, Open Roads and Autocad Civil 3D
- Complete a variety of deliverables: drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes
- Collaborate within and across departments
- Prepare detailed requisitions for equipment and materials
- Review supplier drawing submittals and performs technical bid analyses
- Prepare and issue specifications, datasheets, and other construction documents
- In some cases will provide the seal and signature of the professional engineer, as appropriate
