Position: Senior Civil Estimator
Location: Savannah, GA
Salary: $100,000 - $160,000 + Bonus(s)
About:
Our client is a rapidly expanding civil contractor seeking a Senior Estimator to head up the Estimating department in their Savannah, GA office. They have tripled in size over the past 5 years and are looking for a driven candidate to help continue their growth and eventually take over as Chief Estimator.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for civil engineering projects, including sitework, roads, drainage, and underground utilities.
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other project documents to prepare detailed estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and clarify project details.
- Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Prepare bid proposals and present them to clients and stakeholders.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and methods to ensure competitive and accurate estimates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Civil Estimator with a proven track record of successful project estimates.
- Proficiency in Agtek and HCSS is required.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and cost estimation techniques.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
