One of the leading Multi-National Renewable Energy Utilities is looking to bring on a Senior Construction Manager for a portfolio of C&I projects that they are starting in Washington DC. They are looking for highly motivated, self starters to oversee the project scope for the solar project and even some Energy Convservation Measures (ECM's) for DG Solar Projects.
Solar Senior Construction Manager, Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage all of the Superintendents, Engineers, and other personnel that may be involved with the on-site construction
- Managing project budgets, contract changes, scheduling, status reporting, and other aspects related to the contractual obligation
- Lead on-site meetings with both external and internal stake holders and employees
- Create and continuously update a Critical Path Schedule
- Outline a construction report that will track the progress of each contractor, which will be used to detect problems as they occur
- Coordinate site visits and inspections with the contractors and Project Manager
- Review and complete all invoices from contractors and other vendors
- Coordinate change orders and determine what the newly adjusted price will be
- Coordinate with the utility rebate or grant forms for the customer to take advantage of financial incentives
- Ensure that all ECM's are met by the contractor as they are stated in the contract
- Coordinate all of the job close out information to the O&M provider
- Coordinate bid opening attendance and procedure as necessary
Minimum Qualifications for Solar Senior Construction Manager:
- Minimum of 5 years of direct construction AND project management experience
- Bachelor's degree, technical or construction-related is preferred
- Experience with managing multiple construction projects greater than $5 million
- PMP license is or Certified Construction Manager highly preferred
- Knowledge of the operation and installation of lighting, HVAC, electrical distribution and generation
