Job Description: We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Controls Engineer with a strong background in PLC programming to lead and contribute to our engineering projects. As a Senior Controls Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and optimising control systems that enhance our client's operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement control systems using PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers).
- Develop and maintain HMI (Human-Machine Interface) applications for operator control and monitoring.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide technical guidance.
- Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
- Stay updated with industry trends and technologies to recommend improvements and innovation.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, sharing your expertise and best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in PLC programming and control systems design.
- Proficiency with programming languages such as ladder logic and structured text.
- Strong knowledge of various PLC platforms, including but not limited to Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric, and Mitsubishi.
- Experience with HMI development and SCADA systems, such as Wonderware, FactoryTalk, or Ignition.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Prior experience in industrial automation or manufacturing is preferred.
