Senior Electrical Engineer
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a top client of ours in Charlotte, North Carolina. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design effort on large and small projects, managing design schedules and team members, and conducting preliminary evaluations. You will also be responsible for producing design documents, preparing various reports and meeting minutes, and conducting design reviews to assure adherence to applicable codes, company standards, and project requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design effort on large and small projects
- Manage design schedules and design team members
- Ability to interact and work directly with Architects and Owners
- Conduct preliminary evaluations
- Prepare various reports and meeting minutes
- Produce design documents (drawings and specifications)
- Conduct design review to assure adherence to applicable codes, company standards and project requirements
- Willingness to travel for projects nationally when needed
Skills:
- BS in Electrical Engineering with PE Registration
- 10 plus years of experience in Electrical Design including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, grounding, coordination/arc flash studies
- Extensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code
- Strong knowledge of Building Codes, Applicable NFPA Codes and Energy Codes
- Experience in Federal/Municipal Government, Healthcare or Aviation preferred but not required.
- Must know REVIT and AutoCAD
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software
